Shaina Zafar

Shaina Zafar, 24, is an Executive at the Next Gen Practice at UTA Marketing and the former Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of JUV Consulting, which was acquired by United Talent Agency in March 2024. An unapologetic American Muslim and the daughter of first-generation Pakistani parents, Shaina represents a new generation of purpose-driven leaders shaping the future of culture, media, and marketing.

At UTA Marketing, she oversees new business, thought leadership, events, PR, and community engagement with talent and brands. She has authored several of the company’s Gen Z “yellowpapers” on topics such as Gen Z Yellow and The Future of WebZ (“Web3”) and leads the weekly trends newsletter The Screenshot, which reaches over 5,000 business professionals.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Shaina earned her degree in International Relations with a focus on the Islamic World, alongside minors in South Asian Studies and Consumer Psychology. Her senior thesis explored the role of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices in driving corporate impact.
She serves on multiple boards, including the Penn Asian Alumni Board, Penn Young Alumni Board, Penn Board of Directors, Yahoo MAKERS Board of Advisors, and NowThis Advisory Board.

A sought-after speaker, Shaina has presented at leading global brands and conferences including Mondelez, L’Oréal, KPMG, the U.S. Travel Tourism Conference, and Cannes Lions. Her insights on Gen Z, identity, and purpose-driven marketing have been featured in publications such as The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and Business of Fashion.
