Jawaher Abdelhamid

Head of Public Policy, Middle East & Africa, Snap Inc.

Jawaher Abdelhamid is the Head of Public Policy at Snap Inc., where she leads regulatory and government affairs across the Middle East and Africa. In this role, she works closely with policymakers, regulators, and key stakeholders to shape a commercially enabling environment that supports modern technology while addressing the unique challenges it faces in the region. Her focus areas include online safety, data privacy, content regulation, and responsible innovation through AI and AR.

She joined Snap Inc. following years of policy and partnership experience at global digital platforms, including Uber and Twitter, where she also led the development and implementation of regulatory strategies in MENA. Jawaher is a Women in Tech® (WIT-hub) mentor and a member of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Young Arab Leaders network. She holds a Master’s in International Law and Diplomacy from Sorbonne University and a Master’s in Management and Strategy from Harvard.
