Stanley Tong is an acclaimed Hong Kong director, screenwriter, and producer, best known for his long-term collaborations with Jackie Chan on iconic films such as Police Story 3: Super Cop, Rumble in the Bronx, The Myth, Kung Fu Yoga, Vanguard, and The Legend. His works have won multiple international awards, including the Hong Kong Film Award, the Golden Horse Award, and the Chinese American Film Festival Golden Angel Award.
Tong is also a pioneer in cross-cultural filmmaking, having directed the Hollywood feature Mr. Magoo and the CBS series Martial Law. Beyond film, he produced acclaimed TV dramas such as The Myth and The Patriot Yue Fei, both widely recognized in China and abroad.
Through his cinematic achievements, Stanley Tong has become a leading figure in promoting the international reach of Chinese action cinema.
