Sulemana Braimah
Sulemana Braimah is an award-winning non-profit leader and media development visionary with over 15 years of experience driving impactful change across West Africa. As the Executive Director of the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), he has transformed the organization from a small team into a regional powerhouse across all 16 West African countries, leading the organization to be honored as the winner of the Media and Information category of the World Justice Challenge (2024).
Sulemana has spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives including The Fourth Estate, Ghana’s first non-profit public interest investigative journalism project, Fact-Check Ghana, and the Next Generation Investigative Journalism Fellowship (NGIJ) to empower emerging journalists.
Recognized globally for his innovation and impact, Sulemana received the Eisenhower Fellowships Impact Award (2023).
