Prof. Robert G. Picard
Professor Robert G. Picard is a fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford, and one of the world’s leading scholars on media economics and policy. Prof. Robert’s work as an author and editor of 33 books in media and communications policy making, has shaped how governments, institutions, and companies understand the evolving media landscape.
A fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Information Society Project at Yale Law School, Professor Picard has advised governments across North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, as well as international organizations such as the European Commission, UNESCO, and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and has been a fellow at Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center.
