Betty Irabor

Founder, Genevieve Magazine

Betty Irabor is the founder and publisher of Genevieve Magazine, Nigeria’s pioneering lifestyle publication launched in 2003, credited with transforming the country’s media landscape and setting a new standard for women’s storytelling. A pioneer in African media and advocacy, Betty has been recognized for her contributions to women’s empowerment, wellness, and mental-health awareness, and has spoken at more than 200 events worldwide.

She founded the Genevieve Pink Ball Foundation, one of Nigeria’s leading breast-cancer awareness initiatives, and furthered the national conversation on mental health through her bestselling memoir Dust to Dew. Under her leadership, Genevieve Magazine became both a lifestyle guide and a cultural movement, inspiring confidence and connection among women across Africa and the diaspora.

At BRIDGE Summit, Betty Irabor will share insights from two decades of building platforms that empower women’s voices. She’ll explore how storytelling, advocacy, and media can drive social change and reframe narratives of strength, vulnerability, and purpose.
