David Torres holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Navarra and has completed additional studies at Harvard University. With a career spanning media, technology, and entrepreneurship, David Torres has held leadership roles across both publishing and digital innovation.
Early in his career, David Torres founded a publishing company that, after five years of growth, was acquired by a major media group. Following this, David Torres served as General Manager of a Spanish national newspaper.
In 2013, David Torres relocated to Miami to lead the international expansion of Xalok, a media software development company that operates in over 14 countries across Europe, Latin America, and the United States. Since returning to Spain in 2018, David Torres has been the CEO of Hiberus Media Labs, a leading technology partner for the media industry, where he focuses on developing solutions at the intersection of journalism, digital strategy, and innovation.
Beyond executive roles, David Torres has been an associate professor at several universities, regularly delivering talks and lectures on entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and new business development. He is also a member of the Corporate Governance Committee of Grupo La Informacion.
