For over twenty years, Stas Natanzon covered international politics and global events as a journalist and reporter. In 2021, he launched Yalla!, an independent documentary project that explores the lives of people around the world, all filmed by Stas himself.
Each episode of Yalla! captures raw, unfiltered reality, the kind rarely seen in mainstream media. To tell these stories authentically, Stas immerses himself fully in them, from infiltrating Mexican cartels and filming in Brazilian favelas to working illegally in South Korea, trading on the black market in Cuba, and exposing the world of elite counterfeits in China.
Driven by a desire to see the world without filters, Yalla! tells the stories of ordinary people, street vendors, migrants, and workers, whose lives often go unnoticed.
Stas’s project, Pognali, goes beyond travel; it’s a journey of understanding, empathy, and connection, revealing how different, yet fundamentally alike, people are across the globe.
