Mark Grimmer
Mark Grimmer is a Director at Journey and Co-Founder of Journey’s 59 Studio, a multidisciplinary design studio and production company that merges theater, cinema, and multimedia to create new and unexpected storytelling experiences.
He served as Creative Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s landmark exhibition David Bowie is, which toured to eleven cities worldwide. His writing and direction have shaped 59 Studio’s collaborations with leading institutions including the National Theatre, The Metropolitan Opera, the Anna Wintour Costume Institute at The Met (Met Gala), the Bob Dylan Center, the United Nations, and the BBC.
Mark was also the writer and director of Bigger & Closer (Not Smaller & Further Away)—an immersive digital experience created in collaboration with artist David Hockney and the inaugural show at Lightroom, a joint venture between 59 Studio and London Theatre Company.
