John Kim
John JungKyum Kim is a Partner at Dentons Lee, the South Korean office of Dentons, the world’s largest global law firm. With over 25 years of experience, he advises clients on a wide range of corporate and finance matters, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, data protection and privacy, real estate, employment and labor, and complex cross-border transactions.
Mr. Kim’s expertise spans multiple industries, including insurance and reinsurance, banking, asset management, technology, media and telecommunications, hospitality, food and beverage, entertainment, healthcare, and transportation. His work also includes advising on government relations and policy-making initiatives that help shape South Korea’s legal and regulatory landscape.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kim has contributed to key international trade negotiations, including the U.S.–Korea and EU–Korea Free Trade Agreements, providing critical legal and policy insight to support their successful execution.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Kim plays an active role in several international business communities. He is a member of the American Chamber of Commerce, the European Chamber of Commerce, and serves as a Trustee and Senior Executive Committee member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea. He also contributes to the creative and innovation sectors as Legal Director for TEDx Seoul.
