Sir Liam Fox
Sir Liam Fox is a former UK Secretary of State for Defence and the first Secretary of State for International Trade, serving in the British government from 2010 to 2019. A qualified medical doctor from the University of Glasgow, he represented North Somerset in Parliament from 1992 to 2024, holding senior positions including Minister at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Chairman of the Conservative Party.
Sir Fox has written extensively on global security and economic policy. His 2013 book, Rising Tides, examined the geopolitical challenges of globalization, while his 2024 book, The Coming Storm: How Water Will Write the 21st Century, explores water’s role in global stability, climate, and health. He was the UK’s nominee for Director-General of the World Trade Organization in 2020 and currently chairs the Abraham Accords Prosperity Group, promoting international cooperation and peace across the Middle East.
