Sara Hamdan
Sara Hamdan is a Palestinian-American author, journalist, and editor who has worked for the New York Times and as an Editor-in-Chief at Google. Raised in Greece and now based in Dubai, she is the author of the debut novel, What Will People Think?, which has won a Netflix story award and an Emirates Literature Foundation fellowship. Her novel was recommended by The New York Times, Forbes and Goodreads, and was held up by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. She holds degrees from UC Berkeley and Columbia University, and recently joined as an Editor-in-Chief of The NY Times T Magazine MENA launching in early 2026.
