Mark Grimmer

Co-founder & Principal Creative Director, Journey

Mark Grimmer is a Director at Journey and Co-Founder of Journey’s 59 Studio, a multidisciplinary design studio and production company merging theater, cinema, and multimedia into boundary-pushing storytelling experiences. He served as Creative Director of the Victoria and Albert Museum’s landmark exhibition David Bowie is, which toured to eleven cities worldwide and became a defining cultural event.

His writing and direction have shaped 59 Studio’s collaborations with leading institutions including the National Theatre, The Metropolitan Opera, the Anna Wintour Costume Institute at The Met, the Bob Dylan Center, the United Nations, and the BBC. Grimmer also wrote and directed Bigger & Closer (Not Smaller & Further Away), the inaugural immersive digital experience at Lightroom, created with artist David Hockney.

At BRIDGE Summit, Mark will explore how immersive experiences, exhibition design, and multimedia storytelling can create new ways for audiences to engage with art, culture, and brand narratives.
