Lama Zalat
Lama Zalat is an accomplished communications leader and Director of Communications at IMI, a global media powerhouse based in Abu Dhabi, with 20 years of experience crafting impactful narratives across MENA and beyond. She oversees internal and external communications, influencer and talent management, social media, and culture projects for IMI and its flagship brands, including Sky News Arabia, The National, Al-Ain News, and CNN Business Arabic, while also supporting the group’s international portfolio across Redbird IMI and MARI. Recognized as one of the region’s most influential voices in communications, Lama was featured in the 2024 PRWeek Middle East Power Book, honoring the top communications professionals in the region.
Before joining IMI, Lama led Marketing and Communications at Sky News Arabia and previously played a pivotal role at Mubadala Health, guiding communications, marketing, and branding efforts to support healthcare network integration and organizational transformation. She holds a master’s degree from Sorbonne University and a double honours bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and is currently pursuing a PhD in Strategic Communication, Advertising, and Public Relations at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
