Kate Kallot is a technologist and global AI leader recognized for expanding technology access across Africa and the Global South. Named to TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in AI and a WEF Tech Pioneer, she is the Founder and CEO of Amini, the leading AI startup building sovereign data infrastructure for Africa. Her work focuses on enabling nations to control, manage, and monetize their own data to drive new economic growth.
Before founding Amini, Kate held senior leadership roles at NVIDIA, where she led global developer relations and expansion in emerging markets, at Arm, where she helped advance the TinyML movement, and at Intel, where she oversaw development of the Neural Compute Stick. This device became the world’s first AI development kit in a USB form factor and brought computer vision and AI capabilities to millions of edge and IoT devices. She also serves as Vice Chair of the ICC Global Environmental and Energy Commission and as a member of EY’s Global AI Advisory Council.
