Jim Bankoff is the Co-founder, Chair, and CEO of Vox Media, the leader in modern media and home to top talent, engaging editorial brands, and premium podcasts. As CEO, he oversees all aspects of the business, with a portfolio that includes Eater, Vox, The Verge, SB Nation, The Dodo, New York Magazine, The Cut, and Vulture. The company’s podcast network is one of the largest in the U.S., publishing shows that inform, entertain, and delight, including Pivot, Criminal, Today Explained, Where Should We Begin?, Stay Tuned with Preet, The Vergecast, Waveform, and A Touch More. Vox Media’s business is diversified across advertising, subscriptions, e-commerce, live events, and generative AI licensing.
Bankoff co-founded Vox Media in 2011 and built it through both acquisitions and organic growth. He previously served as an executive at AOL, where he successfully developed and led dozens of the most notable brands of the early internet era.
