Jared Harris
Jared Harris is a Golden Globe and Emmy nominee, and a SAG and BAFTA Award winner. A classically trained stage actor and former member of London’s renowned Royal Shakespeare Company, Harris has built a remarkable career defined by versatility, depth, and an enduring presence in both film and television.
He is best known for his acclaimed performances in HBO’s Chernobyl, AMC’s Mad Men, Netflix’s The Crown, and AMC’s The Terror. His film credits include Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln, Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows as Professor Moriarty, David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and I Shot Andy Warhol, in which he portrayed Andy Warhol. He also lent his voice to The Boxtrolls and Netflix’s hit animated feature The Sea Beast.
Currently, Harris stars as Hari Seldon in Apple TV’s Foundation, the ambitious adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s classic science fiction novels. His recent work includes Brave the Dark, Reawakening, Reykjavik alongside Ed Harris and J.K. Simmons, and Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite for Netflix.
In addition to acting, Harris served as executive producer of The Ghost of Richard Harris, a documentary about his father, the late actor Richard Harris, which premiered at the 2022 Venice Film Festival. With a career spanning over 80 film and television roles, Harris continues to captivate global audiences through his commanding performances and creative range.
