Mohamed "Mo" Karim Born in Cairo, Egypt split his time between Cairo and Los Angeles growing up where he became fluent in Arabic and English. Fascinated with the world of filmmaking at an early age, while he was a student he began attending acting classes and securing parts in various commercials until his break in 2004 with the film Youm Alkarama.
Also having a deep appreciation for the world of medicine, Mo Karim followed in his parents' footsteps where he studied to be a doctor in Cairo, graduating with a master's degree in Physical Medicine, Obesity and Weight Reduction from Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University in Cairo.
Mo Karim has captured Arab film and television audiences alike, starring in more than 30 Arabic films and TV shows. He is best known for his lead role in popular TV series Bent Afandina, a story about the revolution in Egypt (the period between King Farouk until President Anwar Sadat). This TV series put him on the map all over Egypt and The Middle East, where he won the Best Actor Award in 2004.
Mohamed hosted the well-known international singing competition show The Voice: Arabia in the Middle East, which not only beamed his face in front of 100 million viewers across 22 Arab countries each week but further secured his place as a bankable star with a sizable fan base. In recognition of his immense talent and hard work, Mohamed's Accolades include GQ Man Of The Year in 2022 in GQ Middle East!
The multi-award-winning actor has toured renowned world festivals with many of his acclaimed films, collecting numerous honors along the way, including Best Leading Actor at the Monaco International Film Festival for his role in the British romantic comedy "Facebook Romance" and Best Actor at the Alexandria International Film Festival for Egyptian film "Stolen Kisses."
After nearly 2,000 auditions ("I didn't want to be typecast as a generic Arab, terrorist or diplomat. That's not what I came to Hollywood for") he landed a lead role playing Jimmy the Dragon alongside Nicholas Cage and Benjamin Bratt in the 2019 action thriller A Score to Settle.
He can also be seen in the action-heist thriller as Detective Reynolds in "A Day to Die," 2022 in which he plays a police officer alongside Bruce Willis, Frank Grillo and Kevin Dillon. Most recently, as Hollywood's 'first Arab Cowboy' in the Western Gunslingers 2025 with Nicholas Cage, Heather Graham, Stephen Dorff.
