Dr. Lee Bofkin

CEO & Janitor, Global Street Art

Dr. Lee Bofkin is the Co-Founder and CEO of Global Street Art, Europe’s largest hand-painted advertising and mural organisation, with offices in London, Paris, Madrid, and Brussels. Under his leadership, the company has delivered hundreds of commercial murals each year for brands, developers, and communities, and produced more than 3,000 public art murals across London in collaboration with local artists.

In 2020, Lee launched the London Mural Festival, which returned in 2024 with over 140 new murals across 10 London boroughs, more than half painted on housing estates. He also founded The Gallery, a museum documenting 150 years of creativity, now housed at Global Street Art’s headquarters in East London. A Cambridge PhD in Evolutionary Mathematics and former UK breakdancer, Lee blends analytical precision with cultural insight to redefine how public art shapes cities and communities.

At BRIDGE Summit, Dr. Bofkin will share how public art can be a practical tool for strengthening local identity and community engagement.
